Following the 14th anniversary of the series, Dambuster Studios teases the next entry in the Dead Island franchise. In the same breath, the studio announced that more than 20 million players visited the hellish world of Dead Island 2. After the two story expansions for Dead Island 2, it may be safe to say this teaser revolves around the third installment in the franchise and not another expansion.

While details about the sequels are still scarce at the moment of reporting, the provided image confirms Dead Island 3 will not be set in Los Angeles. The image’s nature may also assume the next game’s setting to be some place in California. But it could also be anywhere, since the first Dead Island was set on a fictional island chain in Oceania.
