Nickelodeon expands the world of the beloved series Avatar:The Last Airbender with the new show Avatar: Seven Havens. The 2D-animated series is set after The Legend of Korra and will consist of 26 episodes across two seasons.

The show’s official synopsis reads as follows: „Avatar Seven Havens is set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm. A young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra – but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.”

The original show’s creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko  also hail Seven Havens. It is produced under the Avatar Studios banner from Nickelodeon Animation. The announcement for the series was made just in time for The Last Airbender’s 20th anniversary on February 21.
