The God Of War adaptions starts from scratch, as showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins has left the project with two further EPs. While they had finished multiple scripts for the show that were well received by Amazon and Sony, the studios decided on a different creative direction.

Ronald D. Moore, who produced hit shows exclusively with Sony for about a decade, takes over creative control over the God of War adaption as showrunner, writer and executive producer. For All Mankind and Outlander are among the projects produced by Moore. Both series are evolving into franchises with further installments in development.
