Right now little is know about the story, but the movie will focus on the origins of Dick Grayson and Jason Todd before they take up crime fighting next to the Dark Knight. After their respective functions as Robin, Dick Grayson becomes the superhero Nightwing while Jason Todd takes on the identity of anti-hero Red Hood, following an incident with the Clown Prince of Crime. The movie won’t take place in the same universe as The Batman and The Penguin.

The flick marks DC-Studios second venture into animation after the upcoming Creature Commandos series for Max. The Robins origin story is the feature film debut of animation studio Swaybox. The New Orleans based studio uses a mix of stop-motion, CGI and animation to create their unique and innovative style. Written by Matt Aldrich, Dynamic Duo is produced by Matt Reeve’s 6th and Idaho.
