By many considered as one of the greatest actors of his generation, Sir Daniel Day-Lewis will star in Annemone, his first role since 2017’s Phantom Thread. Focus Features and Plan B’s upcoming film marks the directorial debut of the actor’s son, Ronan Day-Lewis.

The movie was announced on Tuesday and is co-written by father and son. Annemone is described to „explore the intricate relationships between fathers, sons and brothers as well as the dynamic of familial bonds“. Alongside Daniel Day-Lewis the film will star Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings) as well as Samantha Morton (The Whale) amongst others.
