The 2025 releasing Ghost of Yotei is probably the biggest announcement from yesterday’s State of Play. The sequel takes place in 1603, more than 300 years after its predecessor in the land around Mount Yotei, an area known as Hokkaido of present day Japan. The game’s developer Sucker Punch Productions sticks with the idea of the Ghost, but promises new mechanics, weapons as well as improvements for the open-world and gameplay.

Rumors have been circling around for a while, but yesterday a remaster for Horizon Zero Dawn was officially revealed. The action RPG arrives on October 31, 2024, simultaneously for PS5 and PC. Further new game announcements include ArcheAge Chronicles, a new online Fantasy-MMO and The Midnight Walk, a dark adventure with Little Nightmares vibes for both PS5 & PS2VR. Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered will come out on December 10 this year.

Next to exclusive announcements as well as a couple of gameplay- and DCL-trailers, the Alan Wake 2 expansion Lake House was revealed. As of now Palworld, the survival game with similarities to Pokémon, is available on PS5.
