Following a report of Wired, Danny Boyle’s upcoming film was shot solely with several modified iPhone 15 Pro Maxes. Due to its $75 Million budget, 28 Years Later is the largest movie ever filmed on smartphones.
This story matches the 2002 released 28 Days Later choice of camera. The franchise’s first installment was filmed on a $4.000 Canon XL-1. At this time the British horror thriller was one of the first Hollywood flicks to use a digital camera.
Starring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes, the long awaited 28 Years Later is set for release in June 2025.
